The results of cosmetic surgery, which is performed in order to adapt to artificial standards. Correction might just as well be interpreted as mutilation or mental injury and trauma. Face-lifting darkens the door to masks. The individual face becomes a mask – it reflects the quest for identity and the identification with the standards of youth and beauty.
