Thirteen photographs 50x70cm and a study sheet, Dolls, crayon on paper, 50x65cm, 2007
Expensive automobiles and beautiful women and female stereotypes! The combination has always been guaranteed to attract attention and keep up sales of the automobile as a commercial product. Sex sells! Here, the human models have been switched. Instead of women, it’s men who assume the poses … but exactly the same ones as struck by the women! An image transfer in every sense.
I began my research with a series of study-drawings in which I re-worked original advertising photographs from the Internet. This was done on the one hand to capture the authentic character of the female poses and on the other to demonstrate and analyse their precise nature.
